JHON CAMPOS AGUIRRE
Licensed Engineer CIP 258814 · Head of Data Management

I know the data from where it is created

I am Jhon Campos Aguirre, a licensed Industrial and Mining Engineer. I spent seven years inside mining operations running project controls — Buenaventura, Besalco – Stracon, Minsur, Chinalco — and today I am Head of Data Management at Jebi, an AI company serving mines on three continents. I lead three annotation teams, 45 people across India and Peru, labelling 105,000 images a month to train computer vision models.

What management receives

The artefacts I work with

Project control is not demonstrated with adjectives. These are the artefacts I produce every week and, above all, the decision each one enables.

PERIOD 1 COMPLETION

S-curve: plan against actual

Planned and executed cumulative progress on one axis, with the gap visible at every data date and the forecast to completion.

Decision: do we accelerate, re-plan, or accept the delay?
EARTHWORKSCIVIL WORKS ERECTIONCLOSE-OUT DATA DATE

Schedule with critical path

Primavera P6 structure with WBS, logic, resources and version control. The critical path in blue; everything else has float and can wait.

Decision: where do we put the extra crew so it actually counts?
TARGET 90% WEEK 1 WEEK 14

PPC and constraints

Weekly plan compliance under Last Planner, with the four-week Look Ahead and the constraints blocking what was committed.

Decision: which constraint must be cleared this week, and by whom?

Sample visualisations using illustrative data. Each project's dashboards are built on its own information and under the applicable confidentiality agreements.

A few concrete engagements

Outside full-time roles, these give an idea of the kind of problem I tend to solve.

Profile

Real control, not pretty slides

I move between the field, contractors and management. That position is what lets the schedule reflect what is actually happening on site, and lets the report that reaches the board hold up when somebody asks where the number came from.

End-to-end planning and control: schedule, cost, progress, constraints and productivity.
Decision-oriented dashboards: early warnings, gaps and forecast, not just history.
Data governance: a single source of truth, version control and follow-up routines.
Contractual focus: substantiation, milestones, evidence and clarity for formal correspondence.

Where I can step in

Full project or one-off engagement, depending on what you need solved. I work remotely for any country and on site when the scope justifies it.

Data governance and management

  • A single source of truth: model, ownership and lineage of the data.
  • Annotation standards and quality control for training datasets.
  • Leading distributed and offshore data teams, with productivity and quality metrics.

Project Controls

  • P6 schedules: WBS, logic, resources, progress and version control.
  • Look Ahead, constraints and PPC with actionable follow-up.
  • EVM and forecast: SPI/CPI, trends and early warnings.

Power BI and analytics

  • KPIs for progress, productivity, cost, constraints and commitments.
  • Data models and DAX built for the board, not for the archive.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting ready to act on.

Contractual and schedule review

  • Schedule quality: constraints, float and logic consistency.
  • Technical substantiation for milestones, evidence and formal correspondence.
  • Review under AACE recommended practices and DCMA standards.
